I’ll help you learn how to see — not to copy.
Once you understand the structure, you’ll be able to draw anything.
As a qualified art teacher, I guide students through many subjects — from still life to drawing outdoors, in nature, or in lively everyday scenes.
All of this is not just to teach you how to draw, but to understand the principles of arts and to help you understand how to interpret what you see.
We draw not just to see the world — but to understand it.
✔ Perspective — how to build believable space and distance
✔ Composition — where to place your forms and balance the weight
✔ Light — to shape and bring life into your drawing
✔ Texture — not just create forms but adding different textures for realism
✔ Rhythm — how to let your lines move naturally
✔ Anatomy — not rules, but understanding structure and gesture
✔ Illustration — exploring storytelling through images
✔ Techniques — a multitude of traditional and modern approaches to creating art.
I’m Péter Pletl, an artist and teacher with over ten years of teaching experience in schools and more than eight years of online teaching.
I’m passionate about helping others build confidence in creating art.
I provide personalized training (one-on-one) and small group training up to five persons.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, personalized mentoring changes everything.
I will create a personalized plan that is tailored to your goals.
If you are a beginner we start with the basics in an orderly manner.
I don’t teach formulas and recipes. We draw from nature to understand it.
You don’t memorize, I teach you to observe nature and interpret it.
You’ll know how to continue on your own.
Before committing to your first lesson, you can spend an hour talking with the teacher.
This helps you decide whether the mentoring is the right fit for you.

“Peter has been my mentor for many years, so I can proudly say that my work was shaped by his guidance. He taught me everything from how to hold a pencil properly to how to think about art in general. I recommend him to anyone who wants to try out art. He is a patient teacher who was willing to repeat simple concepts to me over and over until I actually understood.”

“Péter Pletl teaches drawing based on his own rich experience. His explanations are easy to understand so I can quickly master the different drawing techniques. This of course does not eliminate the need for practice, but makes it much easier and does not extinguish my enthusiasm for drawing. I started studying with him three years ago, and during this time my knowledge and drawing skills have clearly, in fact, one could say spectacularly developed.”

I want to thank you, Peter, for the wonderful work you’ve done with my daughter. She has learned so much from you—especially drawing techniques like shading, perspective, and working with still life compositions. I can already see how much her skills and confidence have grown. Your patience, clarity, and passion for teaching make a real difference. Thank you for everything—you’ve had a truly positive impact on Dalia’s artistic journey.
